When it comes to getting the perfect tint job for your vehicle it’s not only important for you to choose the right glass and tinting shop. Also, you need to choose one that is fully versed and dedicated to full compliance with the sometimes complicated Nevada state law. Nevada is very concerned with window tinting.
The main issue you have as a vehicle owner is that any violation that arises from the tinting on your windows is your responsibility. This includes the responsibility of the shop that did your tint job. Law enforce will put the burden on you.
Some tint shops will use materials that are cheaper for them to use. They won’t give a second thought to the fact that they are not compliant with our state’s window tint laws. Let’s take a moment to look at some of the legal limits that you need to keep in mind when regarding tinting for your vehicle windows.
When it comes to window tinting in the state of Nevada, the rear windows may be tinted as dark as you would like. The front windows, however, may only be tinted to a maximum amount which allows 35% of light minimum to still enter.
This legal limit applied to both daylight and nighttime lighting. If you are found to be in violation of this maximum tinting limited, then you will soon find yourself facing very serious legal repercussions. One such example is if your tinting job does not allow a minimum of 35% of light for day and night to enter through the vehicle’s front windows (side and windshield).
When it comes to legal requirements for your window tint job, the state of Nevada doesn’t just put a limit on the percentage of the tint, but also on some other aspects as well. For instance, if you decide to go darker than the 35% light penetration level for your back windows, then you by law must have dual side mirrors installed on your vehicle.
When it comes to the front windshield, in addition to the 35% light penetration requirements, the tinting must also be non-reflective, and must not extend further down than the manufacturers’ AS-1 line. The tint may also not be of any outrageous or distracting color, and may not have any printing or graphics applied. This goes for the side windows as well.

If you are thinking of getting your windows tinted, there is a chance you are probably looking into pricing options for window tinting. When you are searching for window tinting services, you’ll find low to high priced window tinting services. So, if you see a deal for $49.99, it sounds like a great deal. But is it legit? Is it possible to get a high-quality window tint installation on your vehicle for such a low price? Typically, window tint installation prices range from $99-$199 for a high-quality window tint installation.
There are a lot of window tinting options available which can make it difficult to find what you need. You have so many different options to choose from and different places to purchase it from as well. You could buy window tint directly from the manufacturer, your local auto shop, or even off the internet. There are many tint shades to choose from, as well. Spray-on tint is another option, though we don’t recommend it.
From there, you have to decide how you want your window tint installed. You could do it yourself or hire a trustworthy professional. If you choose to hire a professional with experience and training as those at Team Acme, Inc., they probably have a good idea of what types would work well for you and what wouldn’t.
No matter if you hire a professional to install your window tint or you do it yourself, you need to beware of cheap window tints.
Window tint itself does more than provide drivers and passengers with privacy. Window tint film is an extra layer that provides passengers and drivers with protection from harmful UV rays and is also able to protect car interiors from taking heat and sun damage which causes fraying and fading. These window tint films help maintain interior temperatures while also keeping broken glass from shattering in the event of a collision, which helps reduce injuries.
Poorly manufactured window tint or tint made with inferior materials are incapable of withstanding the stresses that a high-quality window tint film can handle. Cheap window tints are also more likely to bubble, peel or become discolored with time.
Nobody wants to have peeling or bubbled window tint. Or, at least, we hope nobody does. Peeling and bubbled window tint is unattractive and a sign that the window tint is poor quality or poorly installed.
If you are in the Las Vegas, Nevada area, visit us at Team Acme today for a professionally installed high-quality window tint. At Team Acme Inc., we only use the best quality products from SunTek. Our team is highly trained to install window tint in any vehicle, including luxury vehicles.

The hot Las Vegas sun can be unkind to anything made out of plastic, and your tint is no exception. After years of sun exposure, the layers of plastic that compose tint film start to break down and distort. Once this begins, it is time to remove and replace the tint. By this time, the adhesive used will be crystallized and hardened, which makes removal difficult. While the majority of tint film is removable, there are many different films used and the time and effort it takes to remove each will vary.
We initially take a look at the vehicle to make sure we have access to any windows that have tint installed. Then, we determine how best to remove all glue and tint safely. If necessary, we will remove interior trim panels to access parts of the window that are harder to reach so we can completely remove all glue and tint. This process usually includes door panels, deck lid, interior trim, etc.
We then use a razor blade to carefully lift a corner of the tint away from the window. We then use a special steamer to superheat the glue and film, which is softened enough to be removed from the window. We then slowly pull the film from the window, using the steam to cook off any residual film or glue.
Once this process is complete, we check the glass for any glue residue. If we find anything, we remove it using glass cleaner and razor blades. The only is when we clean residue from back windows with heaters or antennas. These must be scrubbed gently with steel wool and a mild cleansing agent.
In extreme cases, the glue will become embedded in the pores of the glass itself. In these cases, replacing the glass is usually the only option. There are other circumstances where removing the tint damages the attached electronics or pulls off the embedded wiring.
Removing the glue is the hardest part. Every corner, edge, and crevice including under the brake lights and panels must be free of glue residue. If any glue is left behind, every speck will be visible and cause the new tint film to fail.
Because of the stripping process, retint jobs will not usually come out as clean as a new car or first-time tint job. However, it is still a vast improvement over the older stuff.
Tint removal is a car specific endeavor. We won’t know how difficult a job will be until we begin. We do our best to make sure we treat each customer fairly, so we usually charge an hourly rate with a cap. We will agree upon a cap before we start on the removal. The cost generally falls in the $50-$150 range as long as no window replacements are necessary.
If you are looking for help removing or replacing your tint, let our trained professionals at Team Acme help. Contact us here on our contact form so we can get started today!
One of the first questions asked by customers who come into Team Acme, Inc. for window film installation is ‘when can I wash my car?’
It’s a logical question. People want their cars to look good and if they’re leaving Team Acme, Inc., then they just spent a good chunk of change on a premium window film installation. You wouldn’t want to mess it up.
We hope to answer a number of the most common questions we get about window tint washing including:
The thing with window film is it is applied to the insides of car windows. So, if you really wanted to wash your car, then you could. Just make sure you stay clear of your car’s windows on the inside. A quick drive through the car wash though shouldn’t cause any damage to your car’s newly applied window tint. Do not clean up using
We recommend that you wait one week before cleaning the inside of the tinted window. After this time period, you can use an ammonia-free window cleaner and a soft cloth or rubber squeegee. We tend to advise people they use foam cleaners because they don’t leave streaks on the surface, and they tend to work well with ammonia-free applications. Be careful if you tend to use rubber squeegees because sometimes the blade at the back can be too hard on the film, and leave scratches. Likewise, you want to be very wary of anything that could potentially leave scratches, scrapes, and dents on the tint of the window.
Just to be safe it is smart to wait about three to five days before rolling down your window after getting a tint. This helps to make sure the tint has adhered to the glass completely. Factors like sun exposure can shorten the time to three days. However, if you’re storing your car in a cool, potentially damp place, waiting the extra time is common sense.
We advise our customers to hand clean the insides of their tinted car windows with ammonia-free glass cleaners, microfiber cloths, and clean sponges.
Here is how you should clean your car’s tinted windows from the inside of your vehicle:
Tip: Only wash one window at a time, otherwise the soap might dry on the film.
Tip: Wipe from the top of the window down to avoid streaking and water spots.
No, we recommend that you do not steam clean your truck, car, SUV, bus or other vehicle’s windows after getting a window tint. The heat and highly energetic particles of the cleaner’s steam tends to cause tears, bubbles and other problems with the tint.
Team Acme recommends that you avoid any cut-rate or cheap tints. Sometimes, the chemical composition of cheap films can leave it unstable in color. If this is the case, sunlight, exposure to cleaning chemicals or other factors can generate the purple color in the tint, This is one of the many reasons we exclusively use top quality films when we do an installation job. These high-quality films are also easier to clean, and less likely to be negatively affected by any cleaning jobs.

Rapid window repair is particularly important to commercial customers. A broken window can be a bad thing for business for a number of reasons beyond the simple cost of repairs. A fast repair or replacement can get you back to business as usual, which is a crucial part of recovery. Let’s look at some of the major problems that surround broken windows at commercial locations, and how rapid repair can best prepare you to deal with them.
Here’s a sad fact about broken windows on a business. They scare customers away. Broken windows suggest that your place of work is abandoned, or that it is somehow unsafe. As an entrepreneur or business person who is trying to get people through the door, the faster you repair your windows, the faster you look hospitable again. Hospitability is so important for:
It’s not just customers and clients who would be put off by broken glass. Being in an environment with taped or boarded windows is discouraging to employees as well. Employees can start to wonder if they are safe working in an environment that has been broken into, or been recently damaged by a natural disaster. Even if they know that there is no reason to suspect future damage, they may start to wonder about the security of their payroll.Morale is closely linked to performance. Whether you employ:
…you want to keep your people upbeat. After all, employees of this kind work interact with customers directly. Whatever energy they are carrying is going to transfer to customers on some level. Even if they are professionals who can keep calm and carry on, the fact is you owe your employees a simple and functional place to work.
Your vehicles are an important part of your business because they offer you a highly visible platform for advertising your brand. Represent your brand at its best with rapid auto glass replacement and repair.
Quick repair gets your business and your people rolling again. However, if you want to make sure that you guard against future, similar problems, you can increase the security of your building with a tough, transparent adhesive film. These films can make it far more difficult to break the glass, either accidentally or through vandalism. On top of that, you can make cleanup, repairs and replacement even more rapid in the future if the shards of glass are collected by the sheet.
Team Acme has offered businesses of all kinds rapid replacement and repair for both building and auto glass. Contact us online or call 702-566-8326.
One thing that you can find on almost any car in Sin City is window tint. Las Vegas is definitely the place to be if you’re looking for a good time, but it’s also extremely hot most days throughout the year. The sun never quits shining and many car owners choose to protect themselves, their passengers, and the interiors of their vehicles from the sun’s dangerous UV rays with tinted window film. Window tint is also an easy and effective way to add some privacy to a vehicle. After all, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
How much it will cost you to tint your car’s windows depends on the make and model of your car, where you want the window tint, and the quality of tint that you purchase.
Tinting the windows of a two-door truck will cost less than tinting the windows of a two-door car and tinting the windows of a four-door car will cost less than tinting the windows of a SUV. Additionally, if a car’s windows are difficult to tint, then the price of the job will be impacted.
There is also the possibility that you do not want all of your car’s windows to be tinted. For example, let’s say you only want to tint your car’s back windows or the sunroof and you aren’t interested in tinting the front windows. Tinting fewer windows will cost less than tinting all of the windows.
The cost to window tint your vehicle will also be affected by the type of tint you purchase. There are a number of manufacturers who produce window tint for vehicles and there are multiple types of window tint to choose from. Team Acme, Inc., for example, uses SunTek products and offers customers the choice between Carbon, Hybrid, and Ceramic films.
Team Acme, Inc. usually recommends the Carbon tint to our customers because the Carbon tint is high quality and available at a great price point. Compared to Carbon tint, Hybrid is approximately 150% the cost and Ceramic is 200% the cost.
Visit Team Acme’s website today and fill out a request form to receive a free quote from Team Acme for window tinting. Based on the make, model, and year of your car, in addition to the type of tint you want for your car, we will tell you how much it will cost before you commit to the installation.

Every girl in high school dreams of taking a limo to prom, whether it’s with her date or a group of friends. Then, when it’s time to get married, many women, and men, imagine themselves driving away from their wedding ceremonies or receptions in limos that have ‘Just Married’ painted on the back windows.
Undoubtedly, many people fantasize about riding around in limousines, because the vehicles offer a level of luxury most people don’t get to experience on a day-to-day basis, even if it is just a ride to and from the airport.
One recognizable feature of limousines is extremely dark windows. The back windows on limousines generally have window film that is 5% transparency. Applying window tint to limousines is not very different from how window films are installed to regular vehicles. The biggest difference is darker tint is needed and more sheets of film are required.
Team Acme approaches the process of installing window tint to limousines just as we would with any other vehicle. We require the measurements of the vehicle and present our customers with a selection of high quality SunTek window tint options to choose from.
The patterns for the window film we use are computer cut, which means the film we use requires little to no adjustment cutting and our technicians never need to use razors or knives near the windows of the cars we work with. This also helps us to attain the most consistent fit for every vehicle we handle.
Team Acme supplies SunTek Carbon Series and Carbon Nano Hybrid window films. The tints are wet mount self-adhesive and are applied to the insides of car windows. SunTek tints provide 99.9% UV protection and prevent the interiors of vehicles from fading and deteriorating.
Laws differ state to state in the United States, but typically limousines have window tint with 5% light transmittance, which means 5% of available light is let into the vehicle. Limo tint blocks approximately 65% of the sun’s heat and 99.9% of the sun’s ultraviolet radiation.
In Nevada, the law requires vehicles to have front windows that allow a minimum of 35% of available light into the car. The back windows can be as dark as the driver desires. 5% limo tint is legally allowed on the back and rear windows of limousines in most states.

There are several benefits to having tinted vehicle windows. Reducing glare is a key benefit. With reduced glare, the driver can see better, thus reducing risks of collisions. As well, both the driver and passengers will be more comfortable without squinting or needing to wear sunglasses all the time.
The Benefits of Window Tints
Tinted windows reduce the temperature inside the car or truck allowing the passengers to ride in comfort without as much need for air conditioning. A reduction in air conditioning results in better gas mileage and reflects nicely in the owner’s budget.
Tinted Windows Provide Privacy For Passengers
Many drivers and/or passengers prefer the privacy that tinted windows provide. Depending on the degree of tint and applicable regulations, it is possible to reduce the feeling of being on display, especially at traffic stops. Some people also enjoy the look of window tints for the stylish look that window tints present.
Window Tint Protects Passengers From Harmful UV Light
Window tints reduce (VLT) Visible Light Transmission. A health conscious reason for window tinting is the reduction in harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays. The sun’s rays are relentless on our skin and eyes as well as on our vehicles’ exteriors and interiors. Ultraviolet and infrared solar radiation are filtered by window tints.
Some studies suggest that 99.9 percent of dangerous UV rays are blocked by window tints. With current knowledge about the risks of skin cancer from UV rays as well as macular degeneration of the eye from sun exposure, window tints are actually a preventative health measure.
