So ask yourself, are you getting everything you possibly can out of it? If not, some promotional art might be exactly what you need to stand out alongside the many other great businesses in Las Vegas.

Team Acme’s Process for Designing and Installing Window Art and Advertising
When our customers come in to Team Acme for window art and advertising services, we like to begin with a general idea of what type of project is desired and the estimated budget needed to get it done. Once we have a grasp on what is expected, our team can determine which materials are needed and how much surface area we are going to have to cover effectively and efficiently.
After supplying our team with pictures and measurements of the windows that will be used, the customer will receive a quote estimating how much the project is expected to cost. Team Acme asks customers for an initial deposit before we begin the process of design and installation.
We begin the design process by using any ideas or artwork a customer has. Once we begin designing, our team will communicate with the customer via email sending designs for approval and thoughts. Once the artwork is approved, Team Acme will begin the print and/or cutting portion of the project.
Before installing the printed graphics, the print must outgas for 24 hours. Once the print is ready, we clean the glass in which the print will be applied and then professionally complete the installation.

Window tints aren’t immune to the effects of sun exposure. After years of exposure, the adhesive that binds the tints to the window glass starts to break down, causing the film to detach slightly at the edges.
If your window tints are starting to peel, it could be because of a poor installation job, too. A poor installation could lead to the formation of bubbles in the window tints, which can cause peeling if ruptured.
Whichever category your vehicle tints fall under, it’s recommended to get them replaced before the adhesive hardens over time, becoming difficult to remove. The experts at Team Acme have been replacing window tints on numerous types of vehicles for over a decade.
Getting Your Window Tints Removed and Replaced
At Team Acme, we start with looking at your vehicle to make sure we have access to all of the windows with tints to determine how we’ll remove the film and glue. For areas that can’t be easily reached, we remove the interior trim panels to facilitate access.
We then carefully use a razor blade to lift a corner of the film away from the glass, followed by using a super steamer to loosen the tint and soften the glue. As the film is heated, it is slowly pulled away from the window glass, which allows time for cooling the tint.
When the tint is completely removed, we check the window glass for any leftover glue residue. If any residue is found, we use razor blades and a glass cleaner to efficiently clean the glass. Since the back window glass holds heaters and antennas, Team Acme uses a steel wool cloth and glass cleaner on that area instead.
In more serious instances, when the glue embeds itself into the pores of the window glass, we’ll have to replace the window. Since it’s crucial to have all of the glue removed from the vehicle, we might have to get to areas like the bottoms of panels, break lights, and various edges and corners.
Making sure no glue is left behind is crucial since any residue can actually hamper the installation of new window tints. Leftover glue can cause the new film to fall and leave visible specs behind, ultimately requiring a new window tint or glass replacement.

If you try to replace your tints yourself or leave the job to an amateur, you could risk damaging your vehicle’s window glass to the point where a tint replacement will turn into needing new window glass. With Team Acme, you can rest assured that your vehicle is in the right hands.
We use the optimal installation methods as well as the highest quality materials in the industry to assure an efficient window film removal and installation process. Every tint removal job differs with each unique vehicle; while some might require minimal labor, others are more complicated, ultimately requiring more time.
No one likes window tint scratches. That telltale sign of light window on a car or truck tells us that we need to make a repair. We are more likely to see them with darker tints since lighter spots will appear marking the scratches. They are a sign of damage, which no person wants to note on their car windows.
Usually, an external force or object rubs against the tint film and causes it to peel. Debris can gather under each window’s weather stripping and scratch against the tint as you roll them up and down. These can also cause streaks while banging your seatbelts against windows can cause tiny chips. Never wipe a window covered in tint with a paper towel, because the fabrics can also cause scratches.
In extreme cases, collisions and accidents can lead to scratches. This would logically happen because the window glass would crack or shatter if stray objects or another car crashed into them. With that said, we recommend in the extreme cases to leave it to the professionals for repairing tint. Our processes are best used for the tiny chips and streaks.
You need to repair these tint scratches, the little ones, and the large ones. While they seem small, they let in small bits of sun that allow it to bleach the interiors of your vehicles. Then that ruins the whole point of getting tint to protect the car’s interior from sun exposure.
We always recommend using a professional. Doing a patch job at home is very risky to the car, and to the remaining window tint. There is the risk of accidentally scratching the window glass directly with your razor blade, or compromising the integrity of the whole. When you have a tint removal expert on the job, you can ensure that you won’t get any further cracks, bubbles or creases.
More importantly, professionals are familiar with local regulations. The state of Nevada has specific percentages about how dark a window tint can be, for the driver’s safety. When you trust a window tint shop to make your replacement, you will always follow the law.
At Team Acme, we always replace the entire window for reasonable service costs. Patches on a window scratch are fairly obvious if a person looks closely. They also can be applied poorly and compromise the integrity of the whole.
We ensure that the windows are clean and wash them before starting. That way we can see the scratches and streaks and any other potential issues. During our process, we heat the window so as to remove the film more easily. After cutting out the replacement tint, we press it to the wet window surface and shrink it prevent bubbles. After applying the tint and pressing, your window looks good as new!

You spend a lot of time and in some cases a lot of money choosing the right pair of sunglasses. You do this because you know that sunglasses are important in protecting your eyes while also enhancing your personal style. Why then should you not put forth the same among of effort in choosing the right window tint for your vehicles?
Here at Team Acme, we want to make sure that you don’t get burned…not just by the sun, but also by a bad choice of window tint that is not the quality and effectiveness that you need and deserve. With that in mind, we have put together this ultimate cheat sheet to help you choose the best window tint for your needs. These tips and important information will help you to choose the right tint for your vehicles even if you ultimately choose to not let us do the tinting work for you.
From Hollywood stars to hard rockers, from pro athletes to captains of industry and CEOs, and even presidents, and the affluent all know the importance of high-quality window tinting for both privacy and security reasons. You also can take advantage of these important benefits of window tinting and so much more. See window tinting isn’t just to protect your privacy and increase the security of your vehicle.
Most people do not realize that their greater exposure to the sun is actually while they are in their vehicles. This is also when they can experience the greatest amount of dehydration and eye damage. More so think about this, the same sun that is dehydrating your skin, that is damaging your eyes, and that is heating you up is also blaring down onto the leather, vinyl, cloth, and plastic surfaces inside of your car all day, every day, year after year. The amount of damage that is done to your car’s interior is the single greatest detriment to your vehicle’s resale value.
Let’s get one thing out there from the start, not all window tint is created equal, and not all tinting and glass shops care about doing high-quality work. There are some “economy” tints that are little more than glorified colored Saran wrap and there are a lot of shops that are only interested in doing a good enough job to get by till your check clears and the “service guarantee” runs out. You could try to do it yourself if you feel your skills are up to it, but to be honest, we have never seen a home tint job that didn’t crack, peel, shred, and bubble within a few months. More so, cheaper tinting systems do not offer a high level of protection against UV that a professional system of merit does.
Of course, there is also the chance that you will possibly be in an accident one day, in this case, having a quality, professionally installed window tint can actually help protect you and the other occupants of your vehicle if the glass gets broken. Window tinting film, at least quality window tonight film, is very tough and as such if the glass gets broken, glass shards and other particular matter can stay adhered to the film. The film can also act as a minor level penetration barrier to other debris.
When you choose to use Team Acme you can be assured that our multistage and highly meticulous process ensures that you will get the best quality installation possible. You can also take confidence in the fact that we use only the best window tinting system on the market from one of the most respected tinting suppliers in the country, SunTek, we primary use SunTek Carbon Series and SunTek CXP. These are very high-quality windows tints that offer effective and dependable UV protection combined with great looks and extreme durability.

The hot Las Vegas sun can be unkind to anything made out of plastic, and your tint is no exception. After years of sun exposure, the layers of plastic that compose tint film start to break down and distort. Once this begins, it is time to remove and replace the tint. By this time, the adhesive used will be crystallized and hardened, which makes removal difficult. While the majority of tint film is removable, there are many different films used and the time and effort it takes to remove each will vary.
We initially take a look at the vehicle to make sure we have access to any windows that have tint installed. Then, we determine how best to remove all glue and tint safely. If necessary, we will remove interior trim panels to access parts of the window that are harder to reach so we can completely remove all glue and tint. This process usually includes door panels, deck lid, interior trim, etc.
We then use a razor blade to carefully lift a corner of the tint away from the window. We then use a special steamer to superheat the glue and film, which is softened enough to be removed from the window. We then slowly pull the film from the window, using the steam to cook off any residual film or glue.
Once this process is complete, we check the glass for any glue residue. If we find anything, we remove it using glass cleaner and razor blades. The only is when we clean residue from back windows with heaters or antennas. These must be scrubbed gently with steel wool and a mild cleansing agent.
In extreme cases, the glue will become embedded in the pores of the glass itself. In these cases, replacing the glass is usually the only option. There are other circumstances where removing the tint damages the attached electronics or pulls off the embedded wiring.
Removing the glue is the hardest part. Every corner, edge, and crevice including under the brake lights and panels must be free of glue residue. If any glue is left behind, every speck will be visible and cause the new tint film to fail.
Because of the stripping process, retint jobs will not usually come out as clean as a new car or first-time tint job. However, it is still a vast improvement over the older stuff.
Tint removal is a car specific endeavor. We won’t know how difficult a job will be until we begin. We do our best to make sure we treat each customer fairly, so we usually charge an hourly rate with a cap. We will agree upon a cap before we start on the removal. The cost generally falls in the $50-$150 range as long as no window replacements are necessary.
If you are looking for help removing or replacing your tint, let our trained professionals at Team Acme help. Contact us here on our contact form so we can get started today!
One of the first questions asked by customers who come into Team Acme, Inc. for window film installation is ‘when can I wash my car?’
It’s a logical question. People want their cars to look good and if they’re leaving Team Acme, Inc., then they just spent a good chunk of change on a premium window film installation. You wouldn’t want to mess it up.
We hope to answer a number of the most common questions we get about window tint washing including:
The thing with window film is it is applied to the insides of car windows. So, if you really wanted to wash your car, then you could. Just make sure you stay clear of your car’s windows on the inside. A quick drive through the car wash though shouldn’t cause any damage to your car’s newly applied window tint. Do not clean up using
We recommend that you wait one week before cleaning the inside of the tinted window. After this time period, you can use an ammonia-free window cleaner and a soft cloth or rubber squeegee. We tend to advise people they use foam cleaners because they don’t leave streaks on the surface, and they tend to work well with ammonia-free applications. Be careful if you tend to use rubber squeegees because sometimes the blade at the back can be too hard on the film, and leave scratches. Likewise, you want to be very wary of anything that could potentially leave scratches, scrapes, and dents on the tint of the window.
Just to be safe it is smart to wait about three to five days before rolling down your window after getting a tint. This helps to make sure the tint has adhered to the glass completely. Factors like sun exposure can shorten the time to three days. However, if you’re storing your car in a cool, potentially damp place, waiting the extra time is common sense.
We advise our customers to hand clean the insides of their tinted car windows with ammonia-free glass cleaners, microfiber cloths, and clean sponges.
Here is how you should clean your car’s tinted windows from the inside of your vehicle:
Tip: Only wash one window at a time, otherwise the soap might dry on the film.
Tip: Wipe from the top of the window down to avoid streaking and water spots.
No, we recommend that you do not steam clean your truck, car, SUV, bus or other vehicle’s windows after getting a window tint. The heat and highly energetic particles of the cleaner’s steam tends to cause tears, bubbles and other problems with the tint.
Team Acme recommends that you avoid any cut-rate or cheap tints. Sometimes, the chemical composition of cheap films can leave it unstable in color. If this is the case, sunlight, exposure to cleaning chemicals or other factors can generate the purple color in the tint, This is one of the many reasons we exclusively use top quality films when we do an installation job. These high-quality films are also easier to clean, and less likely to be negatively affected by any cleaning jobs.

Understanding window tint percentages can help you pick the one that’s best for your intended purpose.
Window tinting has many purposes, and it isn’t just for cars anymore.
For example, you may see window tinting on:
Your intended purpose will have a big impact on the right window percentage for you.
Let’s start with the basics before we get into details.
A window tinting percentage refers to the amount of light the tint on the window screens out. You’re familiar with the concept if you have ever worn a pair of sunglasses.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect when viewing different window tint percentages. We will apply the concept to vehicle glass for now.
Window tint is a vinyl material that prevents blocks sunlight from passing through the glass it’s placed on. Most consumers understand this much, but when it comes to the different percentages, many people aren’t as certain. The percentage refers to the amount of light allowed through the screen, which means the lower your number, the darker the tint.
You’ve most likely seen this degree of shading if you’ve rented or owned an ordinary vehicle.
This shade allows fifty percent of the available light to enter the window. It blocks heat and ultraviolet radiation while allowing a sunglasses-like view of the exterior.
Michigan and Indiana are two states that cap the legal window tint at 35%, meaning just 35% of the light is allowed. This is a noticeably dark tint on a vehicle.
Don’t confuse this with “factory windows,” which are non-tinted glass. When certain windows have a “built-in” factory tint, it will typically allow 15-20% of the light through the glass.
Five percent window tinting looks almost like a sleek obsidian black sheet. It lets only 5 % of the light through the glass. It’s often used on limousine windows for that sleek luxurious look.
Choosing the right window tint can be problematic for many consumers. With so many brands and different kinds of film to choose from, settling on the type and shade of film for your vehicle or property can be difficult. Not only that, you need to know which types of tints are legal in your area.
It’s important to know that any piece of glass, no matter what its application, blocks a certain amount of light and must be accounted for in order to ensure that the installed tint’s final VLT value is within the legal limit.
Nevada law dictates that vehicles with window tint must allow a minimum of 35% VLT into the vehicle through the front windows. Back windows, however, may be as dark as you like as long as you have dual side mirrors.
Applying tint to these windows can cut energy costs by up to 30%! Tint also reduces the amount of UV entering your property, which means it will protect delicate items like flooring, drapes, paintings, pictures, electronics and musical instruments from sun damage. Not to mention your skin!
If you’re tinting your car windows, get a quote now or stop by our Henderson shop to check out your tint options.
If you’re considering window tint in your home or office, we’ll first need measurements of all the windows you’d like to cover so we can determine the square footage and give you our most accurate quote.
