Team Acme’s Process for Designing and Installing Window Art and Advertising
When our customers come in to Team Acme for window art and advertising services, we like to begin with a general idea of what type of project is desired and the estimated budget needed to get it done. Once we have a grasp on what is expected, our team can determine which materials are needed and how much surface area we are going to have to cover effectively and efficiently.
After supplying our team with pictures and measurements of the windows that will be used, the customer will receive a quote estimating how much the project is expected to cost. Team Acme asks customers for an initial deposit before we begin the process of design and installation.
We begin the design process by using any ideas or artwork a customer has. Once we begin designing, our team will communicate with the customer via email sending designs for approval and thoughts. Once the artwork is approved, Team Acme will begin the print and/or cutting portion of the project.
Before installing the printed graphics, the print must outgas for 24 hours. Once the print is ready, we clean the glass in which the print will be applied and then professionally complete the installation.

Window tints aren’t immune to the effects of sun exposure. After years of exposure, the adhesive that binds the tints to the window glass starts to break down, causing the film to detach slightly at the edges.
If your window tints are starting to peel, it could be because of a poor installation job, too. A poor installation could lead to the formation of bubbles in the window tints, which can cause peeling if ruptured.
Whichever category your vehicle tints fall under, it’s recommended to get them replaced before the adhesive hardens over time, becoming difficult to remove. The experts at Team Acme have been replacing window tints on numerous types of vehicles for over a decade.
Getting Your Window Tints Removed and Replaced
At Team Acme, we start with looking at your vehicle to make sure we have access to all of the windows with tints to determine how we’ll remove the film and glue. For areas that can’t be easily reached, we remove the interior trim panels to facilitate access.
We then carefully use a razor blade to lift a corner of the film away from the glass, followed by using a super steamer to loosen the tint and soften the glue. As the film is heated, it is slowly pulled away from the window glass, which allows time for cooling the tint.
When the tint is completely removed, we check the window glass for any leftover glue residue. If any residue is found, we use razor blades and a glass cleaner to efficiently clean the glass. Since the back window glass holds heaters and antennas, Team Acme uses a steel wool cloth and glass cleaner on that area instead.
In more serious instances, when the glue embeds itself into the pores of the window glass, we’ll have to replace the window. Since it’s crucial to have all of the glue removed from the vehicle, we might have to get to areas like the bottoms of panels, break lights, and various edges and corners.
Making sure no glue is left behind is crucial since any residue can actually hamper the installation of new window tints. Leftover glue can cause the new film to fall and leave visible specs behind, ultimately requiring a new window tint or glass replacement.

If you try to replace your tints yourself or leave the job to an amateur, you could risk damaging your vehicle’s window glass to the point where a tint replacement will turn into needing new window glass. With Team Acme, you can rest assured that your vehicle is in the right hands.
We use the optimal installation methods as well as the highest quality materials in the industry to assure an efficient window film removal and installation process. Every tint removal job differs with each unique vehicle; while some might require minimal labor, others are more complicated, ultimately requiring more time.
Figuring out how much it’s going to cost for any particular automotive service is never fun. Nevertheless, this guide to professional back window tinting and pricing will help you know what to expect to pay. You should know when prices vary for tint jobs.
A few different aspects influence a quote when motorists want to have their back window tinted. You might want to consider whether you want carbon or carbon XP tinting as well as the year, make and model of the vehicle you drive. Fortunately, those who only need a single-window tinted might have better luck than many others. The type of vehicle and size can make quite a difference.
Naturally, it’s going to cost less for someone to get just the back window tinted as opposed to tinting an entire vehicle’s worth of windows. The fact that you’re going over less window real estate means that a smaller amount of material is going to be required. That should prove to be great news for anyone who was only looking at doing a small section of their car.
Traditional carbon window tinting technology is excellent and ensures a certain uniformity of color that’s long been praised in the industry. At the same time, carbon XP or nanocarbon tinting will help block out more than 99 percent of all harmful ultraviolet rays put out by the sun. That’s great news for those who have to make trips to and from Las Vegas all the time.
In most cases, people will select the preferred tint and level based on how much sun they want to block. The more sun that’s blocked the less risk of anything being damaged by ultraviolet rays. However, it’s important to keep the issue of legislation in mind while you make your pick.
Nevada specifies that the front side windows must always allow more than 35 percent of light into the car to remain legal for anyone driving sedans, SUVs and even vans. They don’t specify any level for the backside or rear windows. A non-reflective tint is allowed above that of the OEM’s AS-1 line on the windshield in all of these vehicles, however. Dual side mirrors are going to be required of anyone who has a tinted back window, so you’ll want to keep this in mind if you plan on doing any sort of modifications to your motor vehicle in the process.
When it comes to covering over the back window, we at Team Acme have you covered so you won’t have to suffer too much when it comes time to get a quote. We’ll make sure to help you get the professional back window tinting services you need at a price that won’t break your bank.
Always make sure that you’re speaking with trained professionals whenever it comes time to order a window tinting operation. At Team Acme, we have the experience needed to treat your car just right so you can be sure you get the right kind of tinting done the first time. Contact us online today and tell us more about any special concerns or visit our handy quote form to get a fair price today.
You only get one shot to do window tinting, so it’s important to get it right from the start especially if you value your automobile. Fortunately, Team Acme has the experience and skills needed to ensure that any tinting operation goes down as among the best window tint for cars.
Take a few moments to consider the following issues, so you can know right away what the best plan is to tint your windows. Once you have a good idea, you’ll be in a great position to bring your vehicle in place.
Most notably, window tinting will generally make your vehicle’s windows a bit darker in color. This increases privacy for drivers and passengers. Nevada doesn’t set regulations on how much you can tint the backside and rear windows. As a result, this look can be relatively dramatic and yet stay well within the boundaries prescribed by the law.
Tint darkness for both sedans and SUVs have been getting darker in recent years. Considering the amount of sunlight that hits Las Vegas, who could blame drivers? The more neutral colors of vehicle window tint that have been preferred in recent years have also been less likely to clash with anyone’s paint jobs.
That makes them especially attractive for those who drive high-end vehicles or have invested a fair amount of money into doing any sort of detail.
You’re going to see the rise of two of the best window tint brands. The options might help make the choice a little easier depending on the car you’re driving.
The more traditional SunTek Carbon line offers superior results over previous technologies. It can provide you with advanced UV protection while, at the same time, cutting down on interference with cell phones and navigation systems. SunTek doesn’t include a thick metal layer like some older tinting processes did. In fact, it won’t even mess with FM radio reception from your car’s stereo.
SunTek CXP is a next-generation window film that’s also rising to the top of the pack. This non-reflective blackened finish will not fade. It tends to offer supreme heat, infrared and ultraviolet rejection. These improves comfort and helps reduce the risk of sun damage to materials inside of your car.
The SunTek manufacturer is so excited about their product that they offer a limited lifetime warranty. This policy actually includes fading among other types of damage.
Naturally, the choice in type is yours, but our top pick is SunTek. Regardless of what you pick, we’ll computer cut all of the patterns for your vehicle so you’ll be getting the best window tint for cars.
Since we never use blades directly on your vehicle, we’re never going to leave scratches on your glass. All of the films will then be laid out on the exterior of the window and finally heat-shrunk in place. The heat ensures that you have a great fit.
With energy prices soaring, window tinting is becoming an inexpensive and popular way to lower the cost. Applying film to the interior side of the glass in your home or building can increase its ability to reject heat up to 84 percent, which can lower energy bills by up to 30 percent. That is why residential and commercial tinting can save you money and keep your house cool.
With a life expectancy of about 10 years, your investment in residential window tinting will pay for itself in no time. With dozens of options available, it’s easy to get the look and performance you desire. Tint film also reduces the amount of UV coming into the room by 99.9 percent, thus preserving flooring, draperies, paintings, pictures, electronics, musical instruments, etc.
We offer many brands, shades, and configurations to ensure that we’re able to have something that matches your vision. Stop by our shop in Henderson to check out our film options and get specs so you can visualize what it will look like and be sure you’re choosing the right one.
We can also provide worksheets to help you calculate your square footage, which will enable us to provide you with an estimated cost. This means you’ll have time to decide if you want to tint all your windows, or if you want to select the ones that affect your comfort most directly. We can also provide you with an in-home consultation for $50, which will be added to your bill when our services are complete.
Keep in mind that you might have several special considerations when dealing with this sort of job. You might have an older home that needs some kind of special attention because of its age.
On the other hand, you might have a newer home that just doesn’t offer you enough privacy all things considered. In either situation, there are several excellent ways to solve this problem so you won’t have to feel like you’re being held back. Take a look at these great options.
While you might have heard about laws regarding window tinting, Nevada only puts limitations on front vehicular windows. Current regulations stipulate that drivers can only have their front windows tinted to where at least 35 percent of natural light still enters the compartment. Homeowners don’t have to worry about these things since the law passes them by in a majority of cases.
Those who own freestanding homes can, therefore, elect to purchase a complete tinting package. The same actually goes for most individuals who live in manufactured homes in the greater Henderson and Las Vegas areas, since state laws stipulate that these kinds of homes essentially constitute trailers more than anything else.
Motor homes and other types of self-propelled RVs may run into a bit more trouble, but this can be solved by simply tinting the front windows to a slightly brighter degree than the back ones.
Commercial property owners in most neighborhoods have no real limitations, which should prove to be excellent news for those who are struggling with getting too much sun coming through the front windows because of the way that their buildings are faced.
When you think about how hot that Nevada sun can be, this should start to look more and more like an excellent option for you. Depending on the type of property you manage, there might be a few extra options for you as well.
Protecting your automotive investment is extremely important, especially for those who live in desert areas. If this sounds like a good idea, then make sure that you take the time to have your garage windows tinted.
Most people don’t have too many windows on a garage or other freestanding structure on their lot, but they let in enough sun to cause at least some measurable amount of damage. Even just one or two viewports can cause issues, so make sure these are tinted over.
While the windows on commercial properties might be physically larger than those on most homes, the process is completely identical. Have a look at everything we do. After seeing the process, it should be obvious just how big of a benefit this can provide to nearly anyone who has to manage a property that faces the hot Nevada sun.
Even though you might think that it only needs to be done at certain times of the year, a tint job is essentially permanent and will certainly outlast the seasons. Sunlight may actually be worse during the winter anyway.
The first thing we’ll need is the measurements of all the windows that we’ll be tinting so we can precut the film we’ll need. Once we have those, we precut the film to within one inch of the required size, which helps prevent dirt and contamination under the film. Exact measurements are required to ensure proper fit. We can either provide you with a worksheet to fill out or can come out and measure it for you during our in-home consultation.
Once we’ve cut the film, we bring it to your location and get started on the job by cleaning the interior windows and removing any debris. If your building uses architectural glass, there will always be some dirt present due to the glazing style of the glass.
We then prepare the window and the film by spraying both with a special solution containing water, soap, and alcohol. Once both are sprayed, we place the film on the glass and squeegee out the excess solution. We then adjust the fit and trim any excess film, squeegeeing it one last time to ensure that all excess solution is removed.
It will be approximately 30 days before the solution between the film and the glass dissipates completely. Never clean the film with an ammonia-based cleaner. Ammonia-free glass cleaners only!
We offer a one-year warranty that includes edge or film failure of any kind due to film defects, or installation error. However, it does not include scratches from daily use, or damage inflicted directly on the tinted surface.
After our one year warranty expires, the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty goes into effect. For details, please see the manufacturer’s warranty. Warranties on window tinting services are non-transferable. Similar plans are available for those who also have automotive work done.
Team Acme is a proud window tinting and car shop. Our goal is to ensure that every Henderson and Las Vegas owner has sufficient sun protection. In addition, our repairs with glass and Advanced Driver Assistance-Systems (ADAS) keep drivers safe on the road.

Getting your windows tinted offers both aesthetic and health benefits. If installed properly, your ride or residential/commercial window tints will not only stand out, but they’ll last longer, too. With that said, you want to make sure that you know enough about the process to make informed decisions. That means checking to make sure that your shop provides the right kind of tinting.
You need to know enough about the process to ascertain that you’ve chosen a reliable auto shop. Before going into the process of getting your windows tinted, you should consider asking the following questions to assure your satisfaction with the results.
Ask your shop about the vinyl or tint options. Then conduct your research to see which ones meet state regulations, since tinted windows can prove to be a driving hazard if they are too dark for the driver’s visibility. Different options will also have various price points and tradeoffs, so you can choose one that is suited for your window needs.
There are several types of window tints that can differ depending on which ones your window tint installer has available. For example, for automotive tinting, Team Acme offers Carbon Series (SunTek Carbon) options—each of which offers superior quality for a high-end finish.
For all types of window tinting, you should make sure that your windows are thoroughly cleaned before getting them tinted. Either scrub them by hand or go to a professional car washer to make sure that all the grime is wiped away. That way the tint will fit on with no risk of air bubbles.
Having a clean car or residential window will allow you to get a cleaner installation. The vehicle tint installer will also clean the glass and its surroundings before installing your tints. Even so, you can save on time and money with proactive strategies.
You should ask yourself which windows you’d like to get tinted. Do you want the back window and windshield tinted, too? Or do you just want the rear windows tinted?
Once you know which ones you’re going to tint, you can determine how much the process will cost you. Some shops may offer a bundle deal if you decide to get all the windows as well as the windshield done at once.
Every state sets its own regulations for tinting; meaning the various pieces of glass on your car can each be at a specific degree of darkness. The risk for the driver is that too dark a tint can lead to lowered visibility, especially at night.
In Nevada, for example, the front doors must allow 35% of sunlight into the vehicle, while the windows behind the driver’s seat are not regulated. How long will the tints last?
Another important question to ask is how durable window tints are. Generally, good tints should last several years at a minimum. With that said, climate and sunlight will also affect that shelf life. If a shop says that a tint only lasts a few months, then that’s a red flag. You want to save on costs from your car interior getting bleached in the long run.
The scratch-resistant coating that comes on high-quality window tint films today makes it easier to protect the tints from damage that can be caused by child’s play, pets, and weather conditions. You should also ask if your tints have a warranty. A good shop has a warranty policy that will last several months to a year, in the case of improper installation or other circumstances.
Some shops don’t apply tint at the very top of the automatic windows your cars carry. The reason is fairly simple; when you roll down these windows, it applies friction to the top, and such force can compromise your tint’s integrity. Making sure the tint covers the whole window requires a lot more finesse.
Ask if a shop follows this policy; some will, for an extra cost, go all the way up on the window. You can decide if you prefer that or if you will accept tinting with that tiny gap. At Team Acme, we believe that the choice is a matter of personal preference.
Depending on how many windows you’re tinting, vehicle window tints generally just take a few hours to install; specifically one to three hours. This is also dependent on the type of vehicle you’re tinting, too. If you can’t wait that long, ask if you have the option to drop off the vehicle and come back later or the next day.
Another factor related to time is the number of cars that the shop is handling. While it is good that many customers are using a particular auto shop — that means they trust the expertise — such a queue can also cause delays.
This may sound like a question you would ask after getting your windows tinted, but some people get so excited to see their fresh new tints, they forget to wait before rolling down the windows. Most of the time, it can just be a reflex to roll down the windows and test how well the tints were installed.
Rolling down windows too early can cause damage such as peeling before the curing process is complete.
Then the job needs to be redone, which increases costs for yourself and more time at the shop. You should keep your windows up for 2-4 days after they’re installed. Make sure your air conditioning is up to date as well.
Team Acme wants to ensure that all Nevada natives, especially in the Las Vegas area, know how to protect their car windows. Make sure to get as much information as you can about your window tints before getting started.
If you’re in the Nevada area and would like to get high-quality window tints that’ll look great and last, call Team Acme today to get a quote.Well protect your cars from all sorts of UV rays and ensure that you have sensible vinyl for years.
Understanding window tint percentages can help you pick the one that’s best for your intended purpose.
Window tinting has many purposes, and it isn’t just for cars anymore.
For example, you may see window tinting on:
Your intended purpose will have a big impact on the right window percentage for you.
Let’s start with the basics before we get into details.
A window tinting percentage refers to the amount of light the tint on the window screens out. You’re familiar with the concept if you have ever worn a pair of sunglasses.
Here’s a quick breakdown of what to expect when viewing different window tint percentages. We will apply the concept to vehicle glass for now. (aka. car window tinting)
Window tint is a vinyl material that prevents blocks sunlight from passing through the glass it’s placed on. Actually, window tinting is pretty beneficial for health. Window tinting films, filter the UV rays that damage the skin.
Most consumers understand this much, but when it comes to the different percentages, many people aren’t as certain. The percentage refers to the amount of light allowed through the screen, which means the lower your number, the darker the tint.
See the different tint level examples below.
You’ve most likely seen this degree of shading if you’ve rented or owned an ordinary vehicle.
This shade allows fifty percent of the available light to enter the window. It blocks heat and ultraviolet radiation while allowing a sunglasses-like view of the exterior.
Michigan and Indiana are two states that cap the legal window tint at 35%, meaning just 35% of the light is allowed. This is a noticeably dark tint on a vehicle. For other states, you can check our 30 window tints as well.
Don’t confuse this with “factory windows,” which are non-tinted glass. When certain windows have a “built-in” factory tint, it will typically allow 15-20% of the light through the glass. In order to apply this window tint, it is better to check the tinting law of your state.
Five percent window tinting looks almost like a sleek obsidian black sheet. It lets only 5 % of the light through the glass. It’s often used on limousine windows for that sleek luxurious look. That is the reason why 5% tints are known as limo tint percentages as well.
Choosing the right window tint can be problematic for many consumers. With so many brands and different kinds of film to choose from, settling on the type and shade of film for your vehicle or property can be difficult. Not only that, you need to know which types of tints are legal in your area. So you should better know what is a good window tint percentage for your car.
It’s important to know that any piece of glass, no matter what its application, blocks a certain amount of light and must be accounted for in order to ensure that the installed tint’s final VLT value is within the legal limit.
Nevada law dictates that vehicles with window tint must allow a minimum of 35% VLT into the vehicle through the front windows. Back windows, however, may be as dark as you like as long as you have dual side mirrors.
Applying tint to these windows can cut energy costs by up to 30%! Tint also reduces the amount of UV entering your property, which means it will protect delicate items like flooring, drapes, paintings, pictures, electronics and musical instruments from sun damage. Not to mention your skin!
If you’re tinting your car windows, get a quote now or stop by our Henderson shop to check out your tint options.
