The most important window on a vehicle is the windshield. The front glass is up to 60% of your vehicle’s structural strength (roof crush and roll over ratings) and part of the safety restraint system (air bag deflection). This makes the use of an AGRSS (Auto Glass Safety Council) certified shop extremely important when replacement of the windshield is required. We are proud to have the only AGRSS Master Certified Tech in Nevada on our team.
Knowledge and expertise are key. We use only the best glass option for each vehicle we service. With hundreds of glass manufacturers available, we prefer to use the same option that the manufacturer of your vehicle used when the vehicle was new. This is not always the cheapest glass available, but we know that every windshield we replace will be as good as or better than the factory installation.
No short cuts are taken. All parts surrounding the windshield that must be removed in order to replace the windshield to the AGRSS standard will be done as such. This ensures that proper fit, adhesion, and safety standards are met. In-shop replacement is the preferred method, due to heat and other elements that can affect the adhesives, although we do offer mobile installation if you can’t make it to us.
We use chemical cure urethanes that ensure safe drive-away in one hour. Many shops don’t like to have cars that just sit, but to ensure that the adhesive used to bond the windshield to the vehicle is completely dry and safe, cars must be left to sit. If you were to drive away before the one hour cure time was complete and get in an accident, the passenger air bag would blow the windshield out of the vehicle, which is why we insist on a full one hour of wait time before you drive away.
Cheap urethane can save up to $20 per installation, but temperature and humidity regulate safe drive-away times. Inferior urethanes might not be safe to drive for up to 48 hours. Different urethanes are required for high end vehicles, such as high modulus or non-conductive urethane. These are used in high performance vehicles and aluminum vehicles. (Think Audi, Lamborghini, Jaguar.) The wrong urethane will affect the stiffness of the vehicle, reducing proper handling and suspension. Using the wrong urethane on an aluminum vehicle can corrode the metal.
Open since 2000, we have put windshields in just about every type of vehicle. From RV’s to Lamborghini’s, if it has a windshield in it, we can replace it and do so to AGRSS standards. We work directly with most of the dealers in the Valley Auto Mall, and they refer customers to us because of our AGRSS certification and our ability to find and repair factory defects if any arise. Creating relationships through knowledge and expertise, these dealers recognize and respect and their referrals tell us we’re doing it right.
Our Lifetime Warranty covers workmanship, stress cracks, and leaks.
Workmanship: Proper function of the glass replaced, includes moldings replaced with the glass and any parts that were replaced. Does not include heat damaged parts etc. due to aging. Ex. Wipers, cowlings, hard parts that were not replaced, just reused from original.
Stress cracks: These are cracks that occur without impact to the glass, which create a weak point in the glass’s structure. Impacts include surface chips, edge impacts, etc.
Leaks: Are covered for life as long as the leak is due to glue failure etc. For example. if the roof of the vehicle starts to rust away and the paint that the glue is attached to starts to flake away and release from the body of the vehicle, coverage is void.
Warranty is for the life of the vehicle. Not transferable if the vehicle is sold.
