Choosing the right window tint for your vehicle means knowing what you want to get out of your tint. You need to understand the different options, and how each one will have an impact on the experience of your drivers and passengers.
Tinting isn’t just a great visual design choice, it has numerous practical benefits as well. To understand these better, and the science behind them, let’s break down each type of tint.
Some quick big picture benefits of window tinting include:
Total heat rejection of up to 60%. This is especially nice when you part your car somewhere bright and sunny. You can also protect your
leather seating and passengers with up to 97% IR heat rejection. This helps retain the value of your car as well.
For a long-term stylistic choice, choose a SunTek Carbon window tint. This window tint offers the following benefits.
CarbonXP is an evolution in the world of window tints. It carries many of the features and benefits of the tint above, such as anon-fading blank tint. Thanks to the blend of non-metal, nano-hybrid carbon technology, this window tint is ideal for preventing UV damage to the interior of your vehicle or the skin of your passengers. Like the tint above, it is designed to prevent any interference with signal s from cellphones, or GPS navigation systems.
A successful window tinting installation begins with a thorough cleaning of your vehicle. This will make sure that no dust or debris currently on the window interferes with the tint-to-glass contact. A flush fit is the key to making sure you don’t get chips, bubbles and peels. Team Acme uses a computer cutter to cut all fits. At no point do we cut a tint with a blade near your vehicle. This guarantees there will be no post-installation scratches in your hull.
We bring the film to your hull and shrink it so it contours exactly to the shape of the window. We squeegee the tint into place after cleaning the glass and wetting it lightly. It will then take about two days for the application to finalize and cure. For two days, you should not roll down the windows as this may damage the new tints. Should you see moisture between the glass and tint, remember this is normal and it should dissipate.
NOTE: You must use ammonia free glass cleaners on tinted windows.
