Sure, these might not be as interesting as some monster that lives out in the Nevada desert, but that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t get tracked down just the same.

1. It’s Too Expensive

People will shy away from a wrap because they think they won’t be able to afford it. 2. It Will Damage My Paint Job

6. It’s Just A Sticker

The belief that a vinyl wrap is nothing more than a big sticker deters many people. In one way, it actually can be classified as a sticker, but these wraps are not your kid’s stickers. The adhesive is a specially designed high tack formula that gives the wrap its longevity.

Tack, along with high-quality vinyl, allows you to enjoy your wrap for years to come. A well-cared-for wrap will last anywhere from five to 7 years without any issues or failures.

The companies that actually make the vinyl will classify it based on the amount of time it’s designed to work for. Though no two use cases are alike and there’s always the possibility that you could run into an edge case, there’s a good chance that your vinyl wrap should last for quite some time.

7. It Will Add Too Much Weight

This concern originated in the racing community. Adding any weight to a vehicle causes it to lose its aerodynamics and will use more gas to carry the weight. Actually, in comparison, a good paint job will add approximately 40lbs while a quality wrap only adds about 25lbs to 28lbs depending on vinyl thickness.
