If there is a crack or chip in any of your vehicle’s windows, especially the front windshield, then the first thing you need to find out is if a window replacement is necessary. Depending on the age and severity of the damage, replacement may not be necessary at all. To find out the answer to this question, all you need to do is bring your vehicle in to the professionals at Team Acme, Inc. and we’ll tell you what you need to know. If a replacement is necessary, then these are the questions you need to ask:
Like most matters with cars, the cost of a window replacement depends on a number of different factors. For example, with car window replacement, the cost of the replacement depends on which windows are broken and the severity of the damages.
A brand new windshield can typically cost between $100 and $300. The final price depends on the type of glass needed, the type of vehicle, and the glass company used. There are also additional costs that sometimes come into play, such as glass that needs molding.
The cost for replacing car windows also varies. One can expect to pay between $200 and $450 to replace a car window on their vehicle.
Side windows on vehicles include moving and non-moving windows on the driver and passenger sides. Listed from front to back, side windows on vehicles include: Front Door Vent Glass, Front Door Glass, Rear Door Glass, Read Door Vent Glass, Body Side Glass (on vehicles without doors behind the driver area), and Quarter Glass (the pane above the rear tire area). All of these windows are held in differently. Some are glued, some are moveable in tracks or held in with gaskets, etc. Plus, every vehicle has a different window replacement process.
For each windshield Team Acme, Inc. replaces, we use the best glass option available. We prefer to use the same option that the manufacturer of your vehicle used when the vehicle was new. Zero short cuts are taken. All parts surrounding the windshield that must be removed in order to replace the windshield are removed. We use chemical cure urethanes that ensure safe drive-away in 1 hour.
For every car window that we replace, we follow the manufacturer’s process in order to properly replace whatever window is in question. We take extreme care to remove all necessary parts needed to reinstall windows to factory specification. We remove any glass parts that are left attached to the vehicle, clean and vacuum remaining glass inside the car, and door panels if necessary. Next, we install the new part and check all movements and adjustments if applicable. Last, we reinstall all parts and panels that were removed for easy access.
Our Lifetime Warranty covers workmanship, stress cracks, and leaks. Warranty is for the life of the vehicle, but the warranty is not transferable if the vehicle is sold.
For side glass windows, Team Acme, Inc. warrants the following:
