Whether you’re tearing it up on the Las Vegas Motor Speedway or just want to feel like you are, race car graphics are meant to get you noticed. Pro racers often have elaborate liveries that feature their sponsors and the various logos of all of the organizations that have backed them both financially and with moral support.

On top of this, they might need something special to catch the eyes of the press, which is part of a tradition that’s almost as old as racing itself. Some of these drivers are going to want to go out of their way to do everything that they can to ensure that they get as much publicity from this kind of maneuver.

Yet you don’t have to place your numbers and graphics separately or struggle to get everything perfect with a home kit.

Custom Vehicle Wrap Designs For Race Cars

If you know what you want but aren’t exactly sure how to lay it out on a template so it looks perfect on your vehicle, we can help. If you only have a vague idea in mind and would like to see a few different options, our designers can proof a few options for you to consider and you can pick your favorite. If you pick a proof from the first batch and want a few changes made, they’re on the house!

Racing teams might already have an established piece of artwork that they want to use, but they might not be as sure about the best way to incorporate it into a somewhat permanent design for their vehicles. When this happens, interested parties are encouraged to contact us online to learn a little more about the different options that they might be looking at.

Expert Installation

We always do a quality wrap job. We create a scaled template using a few pictures and exact measurements of your vehicle so the design you see in our proofs looks exactly like it will once it’s installed. You might be concerned about differences or some sort of irregularities. Our team will do everything possible to eliminate the risk of these problems from becoming an issue in order to provide the best overall look possible.

Once you choose the design you want, we’ll ask you to bring us the vehicle (pre-cleaned, of course) for a few days. This allows us to finalize the fit and prep the vehicle. Then we go over your vehicle and give it a final clean to any area the wrap will touch.

Removing wax and tar is the key to the longevity of your wrap. Granted, those who actually race their vehicles competitively are going to have some difficulty doing so, but these should still prove to be more durable than many other alternatives. That’s especially important for those who race stocks on dirt or some other kind of arrangement, where road debris is going to be a serious problem.

Then we do a bone-dry install and lay the vinyl panels along with the vehicle with a squeegee. All panels are computer cut, so no razor blades will ever be used near your paint or glass. Once the fit is perfect, we heat set the material to make sure it’s properly anchored to the body edges, which helps prevent failure.

If your vehicle has extreme curves, we’ll use optically clear anchor tape for an extra snug fit. This might be an issue for midget sprints, but even then we’ll do our best to fit all of your custom brandings on your car no matter what kind it might be.

Then we reassemble anything we may have had to remove, clean it up and let it sit in the sun to cure. After a few hours, we’ll recheck all areas of the wrap, touch up anything that may have come loose and give you a call to let you know you can come to pick it up.

Chances are that you’re really going to be surprised with how it came out, especially if you’re just upgrading from a simple traditional paint scheme for the first time. Our crews will also go the extra mile to ensure that your vehicle will be ready to hold up to the extra abuse that it might experience when you start to really take things to the track.

Laminated For Added Durability

We use only high-quality vinyl products and our own in-house, large format printers to ensure that colors are true and the wrap will last. Once printed, we let the vinyl off-gas and then laminate it for superior durability. Vinyl wraps actually give your vehicle a unique protective layer that shields it from extreme heat and nicks or scratches caused by the debris.

This is especially important for those who plan on racing locally on an exclusive basis. After all, many vehicles are going to be taking some extra heat in that case. Drivers who take day races are in a particularly notable bind, which makes this all the more important.

Run Out Sponsor Logos On A Separate Layer

If you’re into the idea of a wrap but concerned that your sponsors may switch at some point in the future, you can wrap your vehicle with your preferred design and then use decals to add sponsor logos in a separate layer. This way they can be easily removed and replaced—and you won’t have to redesign your trademark look.

The only caveat to this is that you shouldn’t leave them on too long. Race car graphic design changes fast enough that it shouldn’t really be an issue anyway.

It’s also a great idea for those who plan on getting additional sponsors in the future and want to be sure that there’s going to be some extra space for when they finally do get a chance to sign those vaunted new organizations. All you have to do is keep communicating with anyone that might want to sponsor a car and our team will take care of the race car wraps.

You’ve got the speed, the sound, and the atmosphere. Let us give you the look to go with it. We’ve wrapped several ¼ mile drag cars that have gone on to win The Wally.
